Roles:
- Contracted to Install the completed Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Installation the 4.6km underground tunnel and all associated above ground ICB and Western Freeway works, for Schneider/Telvent Australia and Transcity JV.
- ITS Equipment Installation included the following -
- Electronic Signage including Tunnel Message Signs, Variable Speed Limit Signs, and Variable Message Signs both inside the tunnel, and external Freeway Locations.
- Public Address System Loud Speakers to Tunnel, Substation and Cross Passage Locations.
- Air Quality and Air Flow Monitoring Systems.
- CCTV System including Fixed, Dome and Pan Tilt Zoom cameras to both tunnel and external Freeway Locations.
- Traffic Data Collection Systems including Bluetooth wireless detector devices and Inductive Data Loops.
- Emergency Closure Systems including Book Gates and Dual Aspect Traffic Lights and Fixed Message Signs.
- Motorist Help Phones and Operation & Maintenance Phones.
- Overheight Detection System.
- Tunnel Lighting Monitoring System
- Dangerous Goods Vehicle Detection System
- Radio System including Mobile & Radio Cabinets, ‘Leaky Feeder’ Radiating Cable, Tower Antennas and Coax Feeder Cables.
- Linear Heat Detection System
- Control Cabling & LV Power Installation Terminations & Commissioning.
- Optical Fiber Communications Installations, Splicing/Terminations, Testing and Commissioning
- ITS & PLC Cabinet Installations, Testing & Precommissioing inside the tunnel cross-passages and Substations, and external Freeway Roadside Locations.
- Structural Steel Erection for Camera Poles, Electronic Signage and Gantries.
- Pre Commissioning, Testing & Handover.
- Final Commissioning assistance, Testing & Handover to End Client.
